...or what was left of it. I'm big into hiking, and occasionally I'll stumble upon ruins like these. Usually they're a bit more intact than this. Nearby was a lot of rusted machinery, including an engine block of some sort.
The chimney was still mostly intact, as was part of the shower and bathroom wall.
Kind of eerie, but also kind of cool. I'm always on the lookout for abandoned cars, too, but so far I've only found two (both at Seneca Creek, and pretty heavily vandalized).

chimney looks pretty grand and in decent shape. That engine block...not so much

This may be of interest . EDIT: very similar, but not your engine, as the starter's on the wrong side and there are some other differences. Still might be related.

I seem to recall no-shoes is your thing, right?

Big into hiking? Have you tried geocaching before?

I found this one once, purely by accident.

Nice!
My wife and I are big into geocaching. I have 30 hidden.
You should give it a try, it's kind of like...hiking with a purpose lol.
and yes I know some people like hiking because there isn't a purpose.

"Go ahead and take something if you like, But also leave something too"
(takes pink scooter, tries to put engine block in)

That's pretty awesome. I'm always on the lookout for abandoned vehicles.

These are the two in Seneca Creek.

Oops, double-post! :)

That's awesome. I've come across one, which was a probably stolen Vandura or something along those lines.

This kind of finds are great! There's a place in my hometown where there's bunch of over 100 year old villas rotting away in the woods. There was also abandoned oil port nearby until the city tore most of it down.
Here's some pictures of them both if you're interested.

'41 Buick and '53 Buick, I think.

I'm given to understand that the top car is a Plymouth, and the upside-down car is a Chevrolet.

Upside-down car has Buick portholes, and the same chrome stripe used by Buick '53-'57 or so, but in a wider version. Thus, '53.
Quite sure on the top one being Buick '41 as well:
'41 Plymouth is close, but no cigar:

Correct.

Even if I could find a buyer for it, how am I hauling it out of the woods?

GRAB THAT '53 SIDE TRIM! Customizers love it (think Hirohata Merc) and will happily pay for it even though it's bent. Stainless straightens out and polishes up easily.
